Hi there,

I'm Dr Christine, I’m a GP with a passion for dermatology and I'm keen to share a bit about myself and how I can help you with your skin health. After graduating from Queens University Belfast in 2009 and putting in my junior doctor years in Craigavon, RVH and Lagan Valley, I worked as a General Practitioner for five years, during which time I discovered my true passion in dermatology.

In addition to my medical degree and membership in the Royal College of General Practice, I decided I wanted to build on my love of skin. I earned both the Royal College of Physicians Ireland Professional Diploma in Dermatology and Cardiff University’s Certificate in Dermoscopy.

Growing up, my family spent years living Singapore and Indonesia.  We all learned first-hand about the importance of looking after our skin, especially in the sun.  Back in the less sunny climes of Northern Ireland, it turns out that skin care is no less important!  It’s a joy to use my skills as a communicator to provide excellent care and advice for patients with every sort of skin condition.

When I'm not working, you might find me painting, going for a run, or engrossed in a good book. I'm also a busy mum of three super kids, so I understand the ups and downs of juggling physical and emotional wellbeing with work and family life.

As a GP, I don't just focus on the physical aspects of skin issues - I also care about how these conditions can affect your confidence and emotions. Stress can play a big role in skin health, so I believe in a well-rounded approach to care.  One area that is particularly close to my heart is helping women with skin conditions in sensitive areas. I understand the significant psychological impact these conditions can have on every aspect of their lives. Whether it's discomfort, irritation, or other concerns, I'm here to provide not only medical expertise but also a safe and understanding space to discuss your needs.
