Following a very successful event in Belfast in October 2025, Professor Cliff Rosendahl — internationally renowned educator and co-author of the landmark dermoscopy algorithms Chaos & Clues and Prediction Without Pigment — returns with a brand new presentation.
This is the step up. Whether you joined us for the September Skin Lesion Recognition day, or you already reach for a dermatoscope most weeks and want more confidence recognising melanoma, this in-depth, clinically focused day is built to take you deeper.
It's for GPs and GPs with a special interest in dermatology, dermatologists and trainees, nurses, pharmacists, podiatrists, and aesthetic or skin-health practitioners already working with skin lesions.
New to dermoscopy? Start with the September foundation day first, then join us here to go deeper.

Founder Dr Finbars Skin Clinic
I graduated as a GP in 2003 and took on a partnership for 8 years. A sabbatical to Brisbane in 2012 saw my love for Dermatology develop and flourish.
I was taught by Dr Cliff Rosendahl.
I have been working in my local hospital as a GPwSI in Dermatology since 2015. I also started my own private dermatology practice (Dr Finbar’s Skin Clinic) in 2019, which is where I spend most of my clinical time now.
I am a passionate educator and present to GP and other health professionals regularly, but also have multiple patient video resources on my YouTube channel.
This is the next step up. Whether you joined us for the September Skin Lesion Recognition day, or you already reach for a dermatoscope most weeks and want to sharpen your eye for the diagnosis that matters most, this masterclass is built to take you deeper into recognising melanoma.
You don't need to be an expert — but you do need to have started, whether that's the September foundation day or your own day-to-day practice.
New to Dermoscopy?
If you've never used a dermatoscope, this isn't the place to start — you'll get far more from the September Skin Lesion Recognition day, which begins at the beginning. Come to that first, then join us here to go deeper.
You might use one every week and still feel that flicker of doubt over a pigmented lesion. That's normal, and it's exactly what this day is for. We spend it on the patterns that separate melanoma from its mimics, the melanomas that are easiest to miss, and the confidence to act — taught alongside Professor Cliff Rosendahl, who has spent his career on this one question.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know before booking. If your question isn't answered here, just email us.
Do I need dermoscopy experience for this masterclass?
This is the step up, not the starting point. You'll get the most from the day if you've already done the September Skin Lesion Recognition day, or if you use a dermatoscope regularly in your own practice. If dermoscopy is completely new to you, start with September first — it begins at the beginning, and you'll be ready for this day afterwards.
Is this suitable for aesthetic and skin practitioners?
Yes, if you already work with skin lesions and dermoscopy. This day is for anyone using a dermatoscope regularly who wants more confidence recognising melanoma. If dermoscopy is new to you, the September day is the better place to begin.
Do I need to bring my own dermatoscope?
You're welcome to bring your own, but you won't need one on the day — it's built around interactive case discussion led by Prof Rosendahl, working through real pigmented and non-pigmented lesions together.
Will I get a CPD certificate?
Yes. You'll receive a certificate of attendance for your CPD and appraisal, covering 4 hours
How is this different from the September Skin Lesion Recognition day?
September is the foundation — an introduction to recognising lesions and getting started with dermoscopy. This masterclass goes deeper, focusing on melanoma diagnosis and more difficult cases, taught alongside Prof Cliff Rosendahl. Many people do both days.
What is your refund or transfer policy?
Refunds available up to 1 week prior to the event.
Where is it, and is there parking?
Europa Hotel, Belfast. Parking is available in nearby multi-storey car parks.
